Jodie Whittaker's final episode as the thirteenth Doctor will air tonight in a feature-length centenary special - here's how you can watch. 

Whittaker has played the thirteenth incarnation of the Time Lord since 2017, and will be passing on the reigns to Ncuti Gatwa following her final episode.

Showrunner Chris Chibnall is also set to leave the programme to be replaced by Russell T Davies, who was behind the 2005 revival of the show.

The highly-anticipated special is titled 'The Power Of The Doctor' comes as part of the BBC's centenary celebrations.

What is BBC's The Power of the Doctor about?

The trailer shows the Doctor fighting for her own existence, with adversaries in The Master, the Daleks and the Cybermen all set to show up.

The episode follows a bullet train that comes under attack on a distant world as seismologists disappear on present-day Earth, and the court of the Russian Tsar in 1916 falls under a malign influence.

These strange occurrences draw the Doctor against some of her most formidable foes she's fought over the years including the Daleks, the Cybermen and the Master.

However, she will also be reunited with guest stars Sophie Aldred and Janet Fielding who are reprising their roles as 1980s companions Ace and Tegan.

What time is the Doctor Who special on tonight?

The Power of the Doctor will air at 7.30 pm following the Strictly Come Dancing Results show on BBC One.

The special has an hour and a half running time and will conclude at 9.30 pm. 

Viewers will also be able to catch up on all previous Doctor Who episodes on the BBC iPlayer.
