An extraordinary project is about to kick off in Tooting Bec. Children, adults, and older people are invited to dance together whether they are 7 or 97, a beginner or a professional at ‘Big and Small; Free Dance Sessions for All.’ Funded by Big Dance 2012 the project ‘Big and Small’ enables families, friends, and neighbours to come together and dance for free. Working with a prop each week every body regardless of age and ability is catered for with carefully designed movement activities. Created and delivered by Laura Aldridge of Another Dance Company ‘Big and Small’ aims to bring community members together to have fun and make new friends whilst participating in healthy positive activity. Sessions are held at Fircroft School Hall, Fircroft Rd, Tooting Bec, 3:30-4:45pm, Tuesday 29th May, 12th June, 19th June, 26th June, 3rd July 2012. (Wheelchair accessible).

At the end of the project participants will be invited to perform at ‘C’mon and Dance; Big Dance 2012 on Tooting Bec Common.’ The free event on Friday 6th July 1:30-5pm will celebrate dance in the area with local groups of community and professional dancers performing and running taster workshops for children and adults.
