Every year the Battersea Rotary Club organises a Christmas Lunch for the elderly. This year it was located in Battersea Park.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association in Southfields has been working for the past three years with the Battersea Rotary Club to help with this event.
This year youths helped in setting up this event on Christmas Eve. Youth helped in organising badges for guests and packages for more than 50 buses. Samar Ajmal who attended the event said “Serving humanity is part of Islam and what better way for Muslims to adhere to this by serving the needs of their local community”.
