Giving blood is an amazing opportunity to save someone's life. However over the past few years, there has been a shortage of blood donors across the UK. Young people especially have been urged to give blood, as specialists fear the amount of blood given is less than the amount needed.
The number of young blood donors has decreased by 20%, but overall only 4% of people regularly donate blood.
With this in mind young Muslims from the Fazl Mosque (London Mosque) held a blood donation session on 27 December at the Fazl Mosque.
Following Christmas Day, more than 70 people from the local community including neighbours attended.
