Justina Heslop of Clapham Chasers Running & Tri club, front-ran her way to victory in great style, winning by almost a minute & a half in the English National Athletics Championships at Bedford on Sunday.

Off the back of a fine victory over several good Africans in the Blaydon-Race in her home town of Newcastle, Justina ran hard from gun to tape to outclass the rest of the field & take the Gold medal over 5000 metres.

The victory marked a great 'double-gold', since she was English National Cross Country Champion as a teenager.

Justina now looks forward to the World Championship trials 5k next weekend & after a hectic summer of racing is hoping to send her usual early winter training period at altitude in Ethiopia, where she lives & runs with World & Olympic Champions.

In the long term she is considering a move up to the Marathon, but for the moment is happy to keep racing every week over 5 / 10k on the track and the road with occasional half marathons plus Cross Country in winter.
