A Putney teenager has raised more than £3,000 for an African charity after cycling from London to Land's End on a tandem bicycle.
Ed Compson, 17, and fellow King’s College School student Jonti Davies, covered 315 miles during their four-day bike ride which they completed last week.
Ed, who lives in Clarendon Drive, said: “The ride went really well, we have raised £3,110 which easily beat our £1,000 first target. "It was tough but we got there in the end. "The ride took four days of cycling, at around 80 miles per day but we did an extra 20 miles getting lost in various places.”
Educaid Sierra Leone provide poor and war affected citizens with free, high quality secondary education, equipping them to earn their own living.
