Thugs who murdered a 17-year-old outside a music studio, Greenwich phone thieves and a dad who hired a sex worker for his 13-year-old son are among the south Londoners jailed this month.
A historic sex offender, a meth empire kingpin and a taekwondo coach were also locked up.
Here are the names and faces of those who were sentenced to prison time in November 2024.
Four murderers
Three men from south London and one from east London were jailed for the murder of a 17-year-old boy.
Tyler McDermott died on April 14 last year, the day after he was shot in the head then stabbed with a machete while he was on the floor outside the studio in Norman Road, Tottenham.
A court heard tensions had risen in the music studio earlier that day when one of the defendants became upset at being filmed.
As Tyler and a friend left the studio early in the morning Tyrese Barnett shot Tyler and Leo Reid struck him with a large machete when he was already lying on the floor with gunshot injuries.
Barnett, 20, of Moyers Road, Newham, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 30 years for murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Leo Reid, 21, of Tulse Hill, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 22 years for murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Two other men – Rhys Antwi and Kalam Bagge – were also convicted of murder after a jury concluded they assisted and/or encouraged the fatal attack.
Footage showed Bagge was in possession of a knife inside the studio just before the murder whilst Antwi was seen arming himself with a sword just before the shooting.
Antwi, 20, of Prentis Road, Streatham, was jailed for life with a minimum of 14 years for murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Bagge, 19, of Nimrod Road, Tooting, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 13 years for murder.
Kyiza Sandiford
Kyiza Sandiford, 24, from Merton, murdered Keelen Wong on Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, on October 3 last year in an alleged revenge attack.
Wong, 22, was stabbed to death in broad daylight.
After Sandiford was jailed for life with a minimum term of 23 years, Keelen’s father Jemaine Wong said: “I’m grateful for the sentence that has been served. All who knew and loved Keelen are planning to have his memory last long beyond Sandiford’s time.
“However, there are no joy or winners in this scenario, only levels of loss. Community violence is a sad reality that I will have to navigate with the grace of God moving forward.
“No amount of time will account for the life of my son Keelen Wong, but my hope is that the sentence will allow the defendant time to appreciate the value of life.”
Keelen’s mother Nadine Searchwell said: “To the killer and the two individuals who stood with him they only took his flesh, his spirit is still here. He’s God’s child and God doesn’t sleep.
“I’m just blessed and grateful to be his Mum and so thankful I got 22 years with my baby. My one son, I love you, know I got you. Keelen Wong’s legacy lives.”

Bromley dad who hired sex worker for his 13-year-old son
A dad who hired a sex worker for his 13-year-old son has been jailed for four years.
The dad arranged for two sex workers to attend a hotel in Bromley then told his son “don’t be a pussy” when he said he didn’t want to have sex with a 26-year-old.
He also offered his son a line of cocaine, but his son replied “I’m f**ing 13, that’s ridiculous”.
At his sentencing hearing at Croydon Crown Court the man claimed “I’m a good father”.
“I might not look like it in your eyes. It was only because he was feeling down because he’d broken up with his girlfriend and he said he’d done all that stuff before. So the brass sucked his prick. Job done. Whatever,” he said.
The dad, who we won't name to protect his son’s identity, pleaded guilty to arranging for a child to engage in sexual activity as well as offering to supply cocaine.

The victim-survivor reported the abuse to the Met Police in 2020.

The jewellery was never recovered.

Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik, who investigated the stabbing, said: “Due to a lack of oxygen caused by the stab wound, the victim now has a life-changing brain injury that continues to hold significant implications for both himself and his family – and it’s unlikely he’ll be able to return to university to resume his studies.”
Nottinghamshire Police said the motivation for the attack is not clear but Osaseri has links to street gangs in London and was involved in drug dealing around university campuses.

Describing the conditions as “perfect riding weather”—clear, bright, and sunny—Radi’s fiancée said they were both highly visible, with Radi wearing a high-visibility jacket and her in a high-visibility helmet.
Witnesses agreed that there were clear conditions and that the couple were highly visible on the road.
While the pair were travelling in lane three of the M25, heading anticlockwise towards Kent, several witnesses saw a grey BMW 1 Series tailgating a white Audi S5 in lane four.
As the vehicles approached junctions 7 and 6, the BMW driver attempted to undertake the Audi by swerving into lane three, where it crashed with Radi’s motorbike.
Despite Radi’s efforts to regain control, the impact caused him to lose control of the bike.
Radi was thrown into the central reservation, where he died instantly.
His fiancée, who landed in the carriageway, suffered only minor injuries.
The BMW driver did not stop at the scene, instead merging back into lane four briefly before speeding off.
