London is jam-packed with amazing restaurants, cafes, bars, markets and much more all offering amazing food.

From the tourist hotspot of Camden Market to the glitz and glamour of The Ritz to the likes of local greasy spoon cafes like no other. 

But, with so many places to choose from in London, it can be easy to miss some very good but often forgotten spots.

In a bid to highlight some of those spots, every week Sky asks Michelin chefs to pick their favourite Cheap Eats where they live and when they cook at home.

The platform recently spoke to Michelin chef Benjamin Ferra Y Castell from one-starred Pavyllon in London.

Sky asked Benjamin for his favourite places in London where you can get a meal for two for less than £40, here's what he said.

Benjamin first suggests the Saint George Cafe in Chelsea which he describes as a "French bakery offering delicious sandwiches made with high-quality products."

The bread is made by a French baker with specially selected flour while the pastries are "amazing" adding that they always use "high-quality butter".

Plus, the Michelin chef adds that "the chocolate used in the pain au chocolate makes it one of my best sweet treats in the city."

Sandwich prices start at £2.50 and rise to £5 or you can grab a bakery item from as little as £1.50.

The second suggestion from the chef is Tachbrook Street Market in Pimlico which is said to have "Fabulous street food".

The affordable market is "convenient and away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria Station" according to Benjamin.

The chef adds that he used to visit the market with his wife who loves spicy food adding that the "Thai food stand on the left part of the market" is a "must-try".

Lastly adding that the "authentic Thai food made with love, available for less than £10 for a substantial portion."

The last restaurant Benjamin suggests to try is Bar Italia in Soho, the cafe was recently named among the most beautiful in the world and is renowned for its coffee.

Chef Benjamin shares that Bar Italia offers "great Italian coffee with authentic products from different regions of Italy."

Adding that for food "you can try different sandwiches and they have an excellent burrata. They serve real coffee, how it should be made."

First opening in 1949, the cafe uses a "beautiful old Gaggia machine, with red and white Formica bar" to help create the perfect coffee.

The space features a mix of football memorabilia and Italian Tricolore that is said to make the perfect "shrine to a bohemian Soho that has elsewhere been gentrified into oblivion".
