A burglar was arrested moments after he broke into a flat in Norbury.
Anthony Darnley, 61, broke into a flat on Norbury Crescent on February 5.
But unfortunately for Darnley the break-in was witnessed by a member of the public who flagged down a nearby police car.
Darnley was arrested moments after the burglary began..
Darnley was help in custody before being charged with burglary and appearing at Croydon Magistrates' Court two days later.
Last month (June 13) Darnley, of Farlington Place in Wandsworth, was found guilty of burglary.
He has now been jailed for two years and five months.
