Five people have been arrested following a stabbing in Clapham Common yesterday evening.

At around 6.30pm on July 7, police responded to reports of an attack in the SW4 area.

Paramedics, officers and air ambulance arrived to find a 35-year-old man with stab injuries.

His condition has been confirmed as non-life-threatening.

An investigation was launched by the Metropolitan Police, resulting in four men and one woman being arrested near the site of the incident.

Police are continuing their inquiries into the circumstances of the attack.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 6.35pm on Sunday, July 7, to a person stabbed in the area of Clapham Common, SW4. Officers attended the location along with ambulance colleagues, including London’s Air Ambulance.

"A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering stab injuries. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

“An investigation has been launched. Five people - four males and one female - were arrested near to the scene in connection with the incident. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.
