A woman in her 20s has reported that she was raped during an armed burglary in south London.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, June 15 at an address in Routh Road.

Police ask that anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the Wandsworth Common area between 5am and 8am get in touch with them.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police are investigating an allegation of rape in Wandsworth and are appealing for witnesses and information.

“The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 15 June during an aggravated burglary at an address in Routh Road, SW18.

“A woman in her 20s continues to be supported by specially trained officers.

“Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen a person acting suspiciously in the area of Wandsworth Common and Routh Road between 05:00hrs and 08:00hrs that morning to get in contact.

“There has been no arrest and enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD1856/15Jun.
