A man who was killed in a house fire in Streatham has been named and pictured for the first time. 

Basilio Dos Santos Antonio, 49, was found dead inside a house on Glenister Park Road shortly after 7pm on Sunday, February 25.  

Basilio, originally from Brazil, had been in the UK for a number of years and worked as a cleaner. 

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to come to terms with their loss.”  

A 34-year-old woman, Mayara Loiola Ataide, a 46-year-old man, Gevaldo Tavares Dos Santos, have been charged with murder. 

They were also charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life. 

The pair appeared in custody at the Old Bailey on March 1 with a trial date set for January 2 next year.
