A woman has been taken to hospital after an incident on Battersea Bridge.
Officers were called to reports of a woman on the outside of a railing at 2pm yesterday (October 9).
She was brought to safety and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service for assessment.
The bridge was closed to traffic as the incident was dealt with.
It reopened shortly after at 4.45pm.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 14:02hrs on Monday, 9 October to reports of a woman on the outside of the railing on Battersea Bridge.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended. Closures were established and officers engaged with the woman.
“She was brought to safety and was taken to hospital by LAS for assessment.
“The bridge was reopened to traffic at 16:45hrs.”
