Fire crews rushed to Balham after a fire broke out in a shed being used as a home distillery.
Around 400 litres of part-distilled gin was spilled before four fire engines and around 25 firefighters headed to Wiseton Road at around 12pm today (Wednesday, June 21).
Most of the shed in the garden of the mid-terraced house was damaged by the fire.
There no were no injuries reported and the fire was under control by around 1pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a shed fire on Wiseton Road in Balham.
“Most of a shed in the garden of a mid-terraced house used as a home distillery was damaged by fire.
“Around 400 litres of part-distilled gin spilled and was contained to the court yard.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 1152 and the fire was under control by 1308.
“Fire crews from Tooting, Clapham, Wandsworth and Battersea fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
