A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a shooting in Streatham.
The incident happened in Rama Close at 11.30pm yesterday (April 24).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man in his 40s injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition has been assessed as critical.
No arrests have been made following the incident.
Police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 23:30hrs on Monday, 24 April to reports of a shooting in Rama Close, SW16.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, believed aged in his 40s, suffering gunshot injuries.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment and remains there in a critical condition.
“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.
“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD7591/24Apr.
“You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
