A 37-year-old man has been arrested after a car crashed into a house following a police pursuit in south west London.
Officers attempted to stop a car in Beaumont Road in Wimbledon shortly after 3am on Friday (March 3).
The car failed to stop and travelled the wrong way along the A3 to avoid officers.
Around ten minutes later, the car was spotted again in Roehampton Lane and a pursuit was authorised.
The car later crashed into the front of a house in Upper Richmond Road.
No injuries were reported.
The driver was arrested of suspicion of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, drink driving, drug driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without a licence or insurance.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Shortly after 03:00hrs on Friday, 3 March, officers attempted to stop a car in Beaumont Road, Wimbledon.
“The car failed to stop and travelled the wrong way along the A3 to avoid the officers.
“Around 10 minutes later it was spotted again in Roehampton Lane and a pursuit was authorised.
“A short time later, the car collided with the front of a house in Upper Richmond Road. No injuries were reported.
“The driver, a 37-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, drink driving, drug driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without a licence or insurance."
