A member of staff was grabbed by the neck by a man who was trying to dodge fare at Tooting railway station.
At around 5pm on October 29, a man tried to shuffle through the ticket barrier without paying and was subsequently challenged by a member of staff.
He pushed through the barrier before grabbing the staff member neck and leaving the station.
Police have now released a picture of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Do you recognise this man?
“Officers investigating an assault at Tooting railway station are releasing this image in connection.
“At just before 5pm on 26 October, a man attempted to shuffle through the ticket barrier when he was challenged by a member of rail staff.
“The man then pushed through the barrier and grabbed the member of staff’s neck before leaving the station.
“Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
