Battersea Power Station will mark the moment it opens its doors to the public for the first time with a five day festival.
The historic building's opening is part of the second phase of an extensive £9billion regeneration project that has turned the former power station - which once supplied London with a fifth of its electricity - and its surrounds into a luxurious multi use neighbourhood, which will eventually come with Foster + Partners designed homes a 164-room art'otel and 19 acres of public space.
The impending opening welcomes in a luxurious retail space boasting more than 100 high end shops, wellbeing spaces and an epic lift boasting 360-degree views of London's skyline.
In celebration of this, the family-friendly Festival of Power will run across two weekends in October with activities and performances celebrating Battersea Power Station's heritage.
Arcadia's Lords of Lightning, a spectacle involving multi-million volt bolts being fired between the two 'Lords' headlines the festival on Friday, October 14.
An interactive heritage trail, installations, and a programme of live music events are also on the bill, including performances from the Battersea Power Station Community Choir, and the Setia Drummers - a troupe of Malaysian percussionists.
Visitors will also be able to take a look inside the Grade II listed building and have a gander at its shops and bars and try out one of its new restaurants.
Festival of Powers is on Friday, October 14 to Sunday, October 16, and Saturday, October 22 to Sunday October 23.
