A man has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed on board a south London bus in the middle of the day.
Initial police enquiries suggest the boy was stabbed on a route 137 bus.
Officers and ambulance crews were called to Rookery Road in Clapham Common at around 2.40pm on Thursday.
Police intercepted the bus nearby in Cedar Road.
A man was arrested and taken to custody.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in south London.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or changing.
Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is urged to call 101 with the reference 4372/06OCT.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At 14:40hrs on Thursday, 6 October police were called to Rookery Road, Clapham Common following reports of a stabbing.
"Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics.
"A 16-year-old male was taken to a south London hospital.
"His injuries are not believed to be either life threatening or life changing.
"Initial enquiries suggest the incident may have happened on a route 137 bus.
"Officers were able to intercept the bus in nearby Cedar Road and a man was arrested.
"He has been taken into custody.
"Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is urged to call 101 with the reference 4372/06OCT.
"Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
