A 28-year-old man is in hospital after a shooting in Brixton.
The incident happened in Brailsford Road just after 10.30pm yesterday (September 16).
Police attended but no victim was found at the scene.
The man later presented himself at a south London hospital.
Officers say he has been arrested in connection to the incident.
He remains in hospital with non-life changing injuries.
Anyone who witnessed or has any information on the incident is asked to call 101 and quote reference 8038/16SEP.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At 10.32pm on Friday, 16 September police were called to reports of a shooting in Brailford Road, Tulse Hill.
“Officers attended but no victim was found at the scene.
“A 28-year-old man later presented himself at a south London hospital with a gunshot wound believed to have been sustained in the same incident.
“He has been arrested in relation to the incident but remains in hospital with non-life changing injuries.
“An investigation is ongoing, led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Trident).
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any relevant information should call 101, giving the reference 8038/16SEP.
“Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
