A motorcyclist has died at the scene of a crash with a car at a junction in Streatham.
It happened just after 4.30pm yesterday at the junction of Mitcham Lane and Aldrington Road in SW16.
The 28-year-old male motorcyclist was found seriously injured by police and ambulance crews.
He died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the car left the scene before police arrived but then returned.
He is helping with police enquiries.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 16:33hrs on Tuesday, 19 July to reports of a collision involving a car and motorcycle at the junction of Mitcham Lane and Aldrington Road, SW16.
“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.
“The 28-year-old male motorcyclist was found with serious injuries.
“Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“The driver of the car left the scene before officers arrived but then returned to the scene.
“He is helping police with their enquiries.
“Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone who witnesses the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them on 020 8543 5157.”
