The Met Office has issued a warning for thunderstorms from tonight in south London.
Yellow warnings are in place as the Met Office warns that thunderstorms will bring “some flooding and disruption”.
The warning will come into place from 8pm tonight and will last until 5am on Monday.
The Met Office issues weather warnings when there is a risk of weather causing damage, disruption, or danger to life.
Warnings will be issued for heavy rain, wind, fog, thunder, ice, or snow.
Yellow means you should plan ahead about potential disruption to travel and other day-to-day activities.
Here’s what to expect from the warning:
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, or hail.
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
