After months of closure, Londoners will be delighted to know that the Northern Line's Bank branch is set to be re-opening very soon.
Since mid-January travellers have been faced with complicated commutes whilst Transport for London carried out essential work updating the route.
But the big questions on everyone's mind are when will it reopen and what can we expect from the update.
Well you're in luck as we have all the answers.
When does the Northern line reopen?
The Bank branch between Moorgate and Kennington will reopen on Monday May 16, 2022.
On that day all lines that have been shut for the last few months will officially re-open to the public.
What will be different on the Northern Line?
The line was closed so essential building work could be carried out which would increase the station's capacity.
As the interchange between Bank and Monument is the third busiest on the Underground network, seeing over 120 million passengers at the stations each year.
The increased capacity will add 40%, with new escalators, a new station entrance on Cannon Street, and extra room for passengers.
Plus there will also be more direct routes in stations and step-free access to the Northern Line.
However, although the station opens again this May, updates will not be ready until later this year.
