Love Island star Dr Alex George has hit out at the mess left behind at Clapham Common.
The former Islander, who works at Lewisham hospital, said he was "disgusted" after piles of rubbish were left on the Common at the weekend.
Parks across the UK have been left strewn with rubbish as the final easing of lockdown coincided with the warmest weather so far this year.
Pictures shared on social media showed Clapham Common covered in litter after people went home from enjoying the sunshine.
Dr Alex, who starred on Love Island back in 2018, told his two million Instagram followers: "This Common is supposed to be for people to come and spend their time, kids to play, walk your dog and this is what it's like.
"Look at it. It's disgusting."
In another video showing gas canisters dumped by a tree, he said: "It's literally so frustrating.
"What do you think that is going to do to the wildlife?"
Dr Alex, 27, asked his followers what should be done about the rubbish.
One suggested fines, to which Dr Alex said: "It's a shame if it has to go that way.
"Education, if you understand why not to, seems a better option.
"But maybe that's the only way.
"It's a shame but if it has to be done then that is it."
