Transport for London (TfL) is warning Londoners that face masks will still compulsory on all their train and bus services after most Covid-19 restrictions are eased on Monday (July 19).
Though a "near-normal" service of trains, buses and the London Underground will run from Monday, users will still be required to mask up (unless they are exempt) in order to help stop the transmission of Covid-19 in the city, TfL said.
Furthermore, as is currently the case, the London transport authority said that customers not wearing a face covering may be refused entry or asked to leave the network
Meanwhile, TfL added that it did "not tolerate any abuse of its customers or staff" and would work with the police to prevent such behaviour and take action where necessary.
To keep passengers safe and support public confidence in our network, face coverings will continue to be compulsory on TfL.

"I urge everyone to continue to follow the advice and requirements, including to wear face coverings while traveling on our network, so that we can continue to build confidence, and get back to the many wonderful things about London that we have missed during the pandemic," said London's Transport Commissioner Andy Byford.
The warning published by TfL on Friday (July 16) was combined with data compiled by the organization that showed most Londoners were in favour of continuing to wear masks on public transport in order to keep each other safe.
"TfL customer research from 2 May to 29 May 2021 shows that 86 per cent of customers say they are wearing face coverings at all times on TfL public transport services," an accompanying statement read.
"TfL also expects and recommends the continued use of face coverings in taxis and private hire vehicles by both drivers and passengers unless they are exempt," it continued.
"TfL's specially trained enforcement officers, who patrol the transport network to ensure customers and colleagues remain safe, will continue to run targeted operations."
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has led the charge for continuing to keep wearing face masks on public transport in the capital, backed by much scientific evidence that shows how effective the masks are in decreasing the spread of Covid-19.
"To keep passengers safe and support public confidence in our network, face coverings will continue to be compulsory on TfL," Khan posted to Twitter recently.
"We all have a part to play to protect one other and keep London moving."
