Pizza fans can rejoice – Zia Lucia is coming to Balham this August.
The Italian restaurant chain is set to bring its gourmet four doughs to Balham High Road next month.
Following the success of the branch’s fifth restaurant opening last December in Old York Road, Wandsworth, the pizza experts have chosen south west London for their next location.
Famous for its 48-hour slow-fermented doughs, which include traditional white flour, wholemeal, gluten-free and black vegetable charcoal bases, the restaurant chain offers a cut above the classic Neapolitan crust.
Zia Lucia Balham will also offer Italian inspired cocktails and appetisers, burratas and homemade desserts.
In celebration of the chain’s fifth birthday founders, Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D’Angelo, have also partnered with Brighton brewery, Laine Brew Co., to create a range of craft beers that complement various pizza doughs.
Named Birra Cabriolè, the new brand features a crisp and refreshing unfiltered lager.
The beer will also be served at Zia Lucia's flagship Holloway Road venue, which is soon to merge fresh pasta restaurant, Berto.
For those who can’t make it down to the Balham restaurant, pizza, appetisers and desserts can be delivered via Deliveroo, UberEats and JustEat.
Areas inside the delivery range include Balham, Clapham, Clapham Common, Clapham Junction, Tooting, Upper Tooting, Streatham, Streatham Hill, Wandsworth.
Zia Lucia, 64 Balham Road, SW12 9AP
