The Council is urging Wandsworth residents to do all they can to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Coronavirus cases are on the rise again in the borough, especially amongst people aged 18-30.
People are being urged to follow social distancing rules and the rule of six, get tested regularly and encourage their friends to do the same.
The council has reiterated that if attending events or meeting up to watch the Euro 2021 matches the rules still apply.
Wandsworth’s Director of Public Health, Shannon Katiyo, said:
“Back in April, Wandsworth residents were fantastic in coming forward for surge testing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 variants and tens of thousands of people have already had their first and second COVID jab.
“It’s really important that we don’t waste the progress already made. If you are meeting other people, take a test first, follow all social distancing rules and as soon as you are offered the vaccine, take it.
“If we all pull together now we can stop the situation getting worse.”

Get vaccinated if you are eligible. The vaccine is now being offered to everyone over the age of 25yrs. If you have not yet been contacted by your GP, contact the NHS or call 119.
