TV bosses of a new BBC crime drama have chosen leafy Clapham as one of their set locations.
Areas of The Chase, near Clapham Common, have transformed into a film set for ‘The Chelsea Detective’ as producers scoured London for houses with gardens.
Actors have reportedly been milling around the quiet residential road in south west London.
Killing Eve star, Adrian Scarborough, was spotted riding a bike, in the character of DI Max Arnold.
Sonita Henry, who is playing DC Priya Shamsie, was also snapped while working, as she assisted DI Arnold solving the high-profile crimes of Chelsea's rich and famous.
Locals have questioned the authenticity of the show which will see houses in SW4 pose as central London.
One resident commented: "It's really exciting to have this locally in Clapham, particularly as the script is set in Chelsea.
"But like these photos indicate, a lot of the scenes unfold within front and back gardens - none of which Chelsea houses typically have.
"Chelsea is quite central with lots of townhouses that don't have a lot of outside space."
Apparently filming took place for a week starting April 12, after delays caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The four, feature length episodes from the creators of hit shows Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife are expected to air next year.
