A new vaccination centre has opened at Roehampton's historic Queen Mary's Hospital.
The new vaccination centre will offer jabs to people who are eligible and have received their NHS invite.
Queen Mary's, in Roehampton Lane, was renowned for its pioneering treatment of First World War veterans and the rehabilitation of amputees.
Vaccinations will only be administered to those who have received their NHS vaccination invite, and the centre will operate by appointment only.
People with appointments are asked not to arrive too long in advance of their booked slot to ensure that queues can be kept to a minimum.
The opening follows the launch last week of the vaccination centre at Battersea Arts Centre.
Dr Nicola Jones, GP Borough Lead for Wandsworth, said: “This new vaccination centre is great news for Roehampton as it gives local people additional convenient access to the Covid-19 jab. The vaccination is safe, effective and the best way to protect you, your loved ones and those around you from coronavirus.
“If you’ve received an invitation to book your vaccination, please go online and make your appointment today. If you have any questions about the vaccine, do talk to your GP for the facts or join one of our online Q&A sessions.”
