Scenes of “playground madness” were reported at Clapham Common last week as families enjoyed themselves in the fresh air amid lockdown.
Pictures show children and parents crammed into the Windmill Drive play area, despite strict social distancing rules.
Lisa Miller said she saw “approximately 300 people” on Friday (Feb 5) in the new playground on Windmill Drive.
She said: “It’s absolute madness and galling for me and anyone else sticking to the rules missing their friends and family.”
Another onlooker commented: “Has anyone heard of Covid?”
The playground reopened last Wednesday (Feb 3) following the installation of new play equipment and a change in landscaping.
Parents and children worked with Lambeth Council to develop and design the playground.
