A fifth man has been charged with the murder after the killing of Swedish man Flamur Beqiri in Battersea after they were extradited to the UK from Sweden.
On Friday (January 29), the Metropolitan Police announced in a statement that 22-year-old Swedish national Bawer Diyaz Karaer had been extradited from Sweden.
Now in custody in the UK, he was charged with murder yesterday (January 28), and was due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court Friday.
Karaer is the fifth person to be charged over the death of Flamur, who was fatally shot on Christmas Eve, 2019.
As the Wandsworth Times reported previously, Flamur was 36 years old when he was shot and fatally wounded on December 24 on Church Road in Battersea, outside his nearby home.
The four other men to be charged in connection to his death have been named as:
Anis Fouad Hemissi, 23, a Swedish national, who was previously charged with murder. He was extradited to the UK from Denmark.
Clifford Rollox, 30, from Islington, who was charged with perverting the course of public justice.
Tobias Fredrik Andersson, 31, a Swedish national, who was extradited from Sweden and charged with murder.
Estevan Alexis Pino-Munizaga, 34, a Swedish national who was extradited from Sweden to the UK and charged with murder.
All four are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, March 19.
