It was a sad day for the people of Wandsworth when a pub dating back centuries closed in 2006.
But come October 10, what once was the Brewery Tap located in the High Street, will open its doors once more as The Ram Inn.
Lee and Keris De Villiers have chosen to use the original name that dates back as far as 1581.
"The pub has retained its original features and downstairs will have a ‘proper pub’ feel," Keris said.
"The pub will be opening with its very own brewery on site called SlyBeast Brewing.
"Brewing has taken place on the site since 1533 and to honour that, the first beer will take the date as its name."
The Taco truck
SlyBeast Brewing takes its name from their brother-in-law and co-owner David’s two dogs - Sly and Beast.
Upstairs is a something a little different with a taco truck, floor shuffleboard and a frozen margarita machine.
Keris added: "It is going to be a really fun, high energy place to be and will make a great event space."
"In the pub downstairs there will be no TVs, but upstairs has a big screen for all major sporting events.
Keris and Lee very early on made the decision that the venue will be children free - so no one under 18 will be permitted.
Lee said: "We wanted to create a grown-up place for people to go, to relax and have a good time.
"Both our other sites are family friendly, but we wanted this one to be just for the adults."
The pub will officially open on Thursday, October 10 at 6pm.
