Details of United States President Donald Trump’s proposed visit to the United Kingdom will be announced ‘soon’, the White House has confirmed.
It comes amid speculation he will visit the new nearly £750 million United States Embassy which has moved from Mayfair to Battersea.
Prime Minister Theresa May offered a state visit for Mr Trump earlier this year, however plans were paused due to concerns over public demonstrations.
Asked whether the potential for a visit to the UK has been discussed, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee said: “That invitation has been extended and accepted.
“And we're working with them to finalise the details, which we expect to announce soon.
“We'll keep you guys posted on that once that's finalised.”
A US Embassy in London spokesman said any announcement would come from the White House.
