A Primary School welcomed runners from 12 different countries on Tuesday to launch the UK leg of the Peace Run.
Swaffield Primary School, in St Ann's Hill, hosted the launch of the Sri Chimnoy Onenness-Home Peace Run, a global relay that crosses 100 nations.
The runners arrived with the flaming torch and gave an assembly to pupils before each one touched the torch.
The Peace Run was held yesterday (March 9) in the Peace Pagoda, beginning with a welcome from Baroness Flather.
Swaffield School pupils joined others in the peace mile, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the mile in Battersea Park.
