Heathmere Primary School will be the first in London to get a network of Little Free Libraries.
Everybody sharing: Author and illustrator Gary Northfield
The UK-wide initiative to promote reading and art for young people will see colourful book nooks installed throughout school grounds.
The project is run by charity Little Free Library UK who are using fundraising website Kickstarter to raise funds for the project.
Little Free Library director Nick Cheshire said: "The Little Free Libraries encourage children to share books with one another as well as providing access to books in less conventional settings such as playgrounds."
Project partners and charity, Give A Book, will provide free books for the campaign.
