Coinciding with the Wimbledon men's final, the Northcote Road summer fete is returning and promising to be packed full of fun for all the family.
The final will be played on a giant screen and there will be two pop-up markets, a live entertainment stage and three fairground rides.
Entertainment aside, the food and drink on offer will keep visitors' tastebuds busy all afternoon.
The whole road will be closed to traffic for the event, raising funds for Battersea Arts Centre to aid the recovery project following the large fire that devastated the building.
A special mention should be made to the principal sponsor of the event, Estbury Basements. Richard Peel, of the firm, said: "The fete is a great opportunity to bring the community together and great fun for all the family - it gives us a fantastic opportunity to try to give something back to the community that has given us so much support over the year."
Three children's fairground rides will once again take position along the road, including the classic spinning teacups and a traditional chair-o-planes merry go round. The third, the AstroGlide, is a 70ft long slide with three lanes.
- Northcote Road Summer Fete; end to end of the road; Sunday, July 12; 11am to 5pm; free; Keep up to date with the event at northcoterd.co.uk or facebook.com/NorthcoteRd.
