Battersea Arts Centre’s Phoenix Fundraiser promises an unfortgettable evening of live entertainment with the UK’s leading comedians, musicians and performers.
Stewart Lee: Comedy gold
Headlined by Bridget Christie and Stewart Lee, the event at the Southbank Centre will add vital funds to the appeal to rebuild the centre again.
The bash was dreamt up by Stewart Lee just a few hours after fire tore through the a third of the beloved building on Friday, March 13.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the Phoenix Fund, helping the centre rebuild its largest space, the Grand Hall, which could take up to four years.
Tickets are on sale now, priced from £10 to £100, for the show on April 18.
Meanwhile, plans are well under way for the Battersea Arts Centre Summer Cook Up, which starts with Like Mother, Like Daughter, by Complicite, from May 26 to June 6. Also featured are Until You Hear That Bell, with Sean Maloney, abd This is How We Die, by Christopher Brett Bailey.
If that was not enough, the centre’s Taking a Stand Season features an alternative series of politically-engaged shows and events, including an appearance by Mark Thomas.
Due to the fire, venues are subject to change. Visit bac.org.uk for details.
