The Furzedown Project on Moyser Road are delighted with their new defibrillator, bought for them by local charity fundraising group FACE.
Volunteers did a half-day training course on 27 May which covered CPR as well as how to use this amazing heart-starting machine which could prevent brain damage as well as save lives.
FACE (Furzedown Annual Charity Events) raised the money at local festivals and from Quiz Nights and raffles with support and prizes from Heyland & Whittle, Mark Warner and many local businesses and neighbours. The defibrillator is now ready at The Project and will be a vital resource for the whole community Based on information supplied by Sue Pearson.
