I write with regards to an article in the Wandsworth Guardian entitled: "Fifth Food Bank opens in Wandsworth".
The first sentence stated: "Wandsworth Food Bank was celebrating after its fifth centre was opened at St Michael's Church in Southfields."
Unless I have completely missed the point I do not see that a food bank is a reason for "celebrating" and find the choice of this word most peculiar.
If another food bank is needed then this goes to show that more people in our Borough, like the rest of the country, are in real trouble and the Government should be tackling the problem of high food prices and low wages.
I wonder what our MP feels about this and what they will do to combat this awful situation that some people find themselves in.
Perhaps the use of the word "celebrate" would be better used when the use of food banks is no longer needed.
