A person has died after they were hit by a train at Clapham Junction station earlier today.
The British Transport Police were called shortly after 3pm to reports of a person having been struck by a train.
A spokesman said: “Officers attended alongside paramedics, however, a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“We’re now working to identify the person and inform their family.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
⚠️ *UPDATE 18/07* Due to emergency services dealing with an incident between London Waterloo and Wimbledon no SWR trains will call at Clapham Junction station in either direction until further notice apart from trains which are heading to/from Staines.
