Young people are being encouraged to visit a sexual health workshop in Tooting.

On Thursday, May 17, there will be an open workshop for teenagers aged 14 to 18, at the Tooting Hub, Beechcroft Road, Tooting from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.

The event is aimed to encourage young people to have a greater understanding and knowledge around sexual health, and where to access services and to get feedback on services they have accessed.

There will also be an opportunity for individuals to chat with sexual health representatives from Spectra. Additionally representatives from Wandsworth Council Sexual Health Commissioning Office will be in attendance to update on services.

The event is being run by SPECTRA, a free health and wellbeing service in London, and Healthwatch Wandsworth.

SPECTRA has recently been commissioned, by Wandsworth Council, to deliver sexual health services via an Outreach, Prevention and Engagement Programme in Wandsworth to support identified vulnerable/high risk individuals who meet the qualifying criteria.

Their services include counselling, mentoring, group work, one to one in-depth support, outreach, HIV testing and STI screening.
