BLUES boss Thomas Tuchel felt his side were worthy winners but thought they allowed Spurs too many opportunities.
Chelsea beat Spurs by a single goal on the night in the Carabao Cup semi-final and 3-0 on aggregate.
Although the game was not straight forward as Spurs did create opportunities to score and had VAR rule out two penalties and an offside goal in the match.
After the match, the German manager told Sky Sports: “I think we started good.
“We had big chances and controlled the match. We had big chances, we had the lead but I had the feeling we played with fire.
“We allowed chances from easy and sloppy mistakes and were lucky.
“We almost gave a penalty away for no reason, for a bit of over-confidence.
“We started well in the second half again but the same thing happened.
“There was a bit of a mixture of lack of focus and over-confidence.”
