A man in his 60s needed stitches to his face after he was attacked on a Northern Line tube train.
The attack took place between Leicester Square and Charing Cross on Tuesday, April 2.
Shortly after 8.30am a man was seen barging past people on the platform at Leicester Square station.
The man and the victim then boarded the same train.
The man then assaulted the victim, knocking him to the floor and causing injuries that required hospital treatment.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers have now released an image of a man who may have information that could help their investigation.
