The family of a woman who was stabbed to death in Westminster said they are “unspeakably hurt”.
Kamonnan Thiamphanit, known as Angela, was found stabbed to death inside a house in Stanhope Place on Monday, April 8.
The 27-year-old held dual Chinese-Hong Kong and Thai nationality and had been living in the UK for around nine years.
She initially came to the UK to study at university and at the time of her death worked in property management.
In a statement released through the Met Police, her family said: “We are unspeakably hurt by the loss of our dearly loved one and are sincerely thankful for the relentless efforts of the British police in investigating this tragic event.
"We believe that with the commendable teamwork and dedication of the police, this case will be resolved swiftly, thereby preventing any further innocent victims."
At an inquest into her death, it was revealed police have the name of the suspect and believe he has left the country.
The senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, said officers have a named individual as a suspect.
DCI Foxwell added that officers have asked the Crown Prosecution Service whether we have sufficient evidence to extradite that person from outside the UK.
The Met said they will not be confirming this person’s identity or where they are thought to be.
