Throughout the month of February, we’re telling the story of the 21 teenagers who were murdered in 2023. Our campaign, The 21, seeks to remember every victim as a young person with a family and their whole life ahead of them. We want to change the culture of kids carrying knives and becoming involved in violence.
This is the face of Rahaan Ahmed Amin, a 16-year-old boy, who was stabbed to death in Newham in 2023.

Chief Superintendent Simon Crick, lead for policing in Newham, said: "My thoughts at this time are with the victim’s friends and family. As a father myself I can only imagine the pain they are suffering at this time.
"This incident will send shockwaves through our communities and I appeal to the many people who will have been in the park at the time of the stabbing to come forward and speak to us about what they may have seen."

The defendant was remanded into custody.
