Sheraton Grand London Park Lane has kicked off the festive season with the launch of its enchanting winter terrace.
My friend and I visited the Smith & Whistle Winter Vineyard, in partnership with Pommery Champagne, and indulged in delicious food and sparkling champagne.
Upon entering the vineyard, I was immediately captivated by the festive ambiance.
Twinkling lights adorned the exterior of the prestige hotel, creating a mesmerizing display that illuminated the entire vineyard.
The vineyard's staff welcomed us with warm smiles and a glass of Pommery Champagne upon arrival, which has premium grapes from French vineyards and tasted elegant and refreshing.
Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the experience, from the tastefully decorated tasting room to the carefully curated Christmas-themed cocktail selection.
Whilst we chatted and admired the beautiful building, we enjoyed a selection of light bites, including a mouth-watering lobster roll, breaded cod ‘n’ chips with crab, shrimp, breaded cod and spiced shellfish mayo and Smoked Salmon ‘Pastrami’ with Crème Fraiche, Dill, and warm soda bread, all priced at £9 each.
The winter vineyard is a go-to spot for any festive folks heading to Winter Wonderland, as its less than a 10-minute walk away and centred opposite Hyde Park.
From Christmas parties to cosy winter date nights, the Winter Vineyard has a tipple to suit all palettes, and we even tried some of their beloved new cocktails.
My friend chose the Amaro Sparkle – a festive red cocktail made up of Amaro Santoni, Rosemary & Cranberry Syrup topped with Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs.
I enjoyed the Cinnamon Apple Spritz – a spritz with a Christmas twist that includes Double Jus, Apple Cinnamon, and Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs, garnished with a delicate apple slice.
Both cocktails were delectable in taste; the apple spritz reminded me of an Aperol spritz yet the cinnamon gave it a Christmas twist.
Adorned in glittering lights and elegant decorations, the lobby of the Sheraton exudes warmth and sophistication and is the perfect spot for those who want to socialise throughout the festive period.
The Smith & Whistle Winter Vineyard is open throughout December and until Monday, January 8.
Justin Pinchbeck, General Manager at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane comments: “We’ve worked with Pommery Champagne for many years, and bringing a Winter Vineyard to Mayfair in partnership with them this Christmas is really special.
“Our Smith & Whistle terrace is luxurious and sparkling, and the cocktails taste as wonderful as the terrace looks.
“We look forward to our guests and visitors creating special memories with us this festive season.”
James Smith, National Account Director for Pommery Champagne added: “It is such an exciting time for us to celebrate our Apanage Blanc de Blancs magnum, and working with the team at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane to bring it to London has been a fantastic experience.
“Seeing the colours and themes of our Champagne transformed to life on the Smith & Whistle Winter Vineyard terrace has been brilliant! The hotel is a perfect premium partner for us this Christmas.”
